I've had to complain on Hellopeter previously about exactly this same patient of mine and his chronic medication. Membership number 137198691. At that time (16/05/2013) I had a call back from Taniele, a manager in the Health Professionals Department. She answered my query and told me to try the patient on Atorvastatin. I duely prescribed an Atorvastatin from the formulary. On 29/07/2013 I had a query from the patient to say it was not being paid for as chronic medication. She had NOT authorised it on chronic!! I phoned the call centre and after the usual run around (ie. transferred from one 'consultant' to another, choosing options, being cut off!) spoke to another manager in the same department, PK, who informed me that Taniele was not there that day but that he would send her an urgent email to phone me ASAP. Needless to say, I have not heard a thing since then. Can't say I'm surprised but I am endlessly frustrated. Surely there has to be a more efficient way of communicating???
