Accommodation booking frustration

Made an enquiry on a reputable website during April 2013 for a stay at Bramble Cottage during September 2013. Got a speedy reply from Tina (owner presumably) confirming availability. Subsequently, I tried to book and pay for it only for the following to transpire:

1. Never received ANY communication back from Tina - no email, no phone call, no message to confirm the booking. This after several emails, phone calls, messages from my side to follow up. The times I did get hold of Tina, there was always some sort of excuse and empty promises.

2. Was forced to look for alternative accommodation during July 2013 after exhausting all efforts to confirm the booking.

This is the most unprofessional service I have ever received from any property in SA and I'm perplexed by this since we REALLY wanted to stay at Bramble Cottage as it looked rather nice and friends of ours are staying over at nearby cottage over the same period.

Never again!
