How long does it take to get hospital auth n

I phoned them on the 22 Jul 2013 for a hospital auth number for a operation that is going to take place on the 29 Jul 2013 and still didn't get the nr. How long can it take just to get that nr? Its a very important operation. And I already have moved the operation date I can't move it again. Their service are very bad
