Unaceptable billing and bad service

I was admitted to hospital in November 2013. We tried to obtain an authorization number. The medical aid call centre agent said that she cannot generate he uathorization as the hospitilization needs to be investigated. They will phone back with the auth no. This never happened. After te specialist decided that I need a furhter test to determine the cause, an authorization fo the procedure was requested. Again, waited and waited. Oly in the morning of the procedure when the hospital decided to cancel me from the theatre list I phoned Medihelp, and suddenly they could raise an auth no. Sorry to late! 5 min before the call I was discharged as they couldn't do any thing furhter. The authorization was given with an R 2 000.00 co-payment for the procedure. I deided since I was discharged I am not oing to bother. Now I receive accounts from the hospital for the R 2 000.00 co-payment. According to them this is due for the hospitilization an not the procedure which I didn't have. Why did Medihelp only grant authorization for hospitilization after 5 days being in hospital without informing me in advance of that the co payment is for hospital stay adavnce, only 5 days later!
