I sent through a claim via email on 2013/07/05 @ approximately 08:00 in the morning for an amount of R2100.00 which was paid out of my pocket, and to be reimbursed from Medshield. I received a notification from them to say the query was received and that they were attending to it at 08:24 that same morning. To date, I have not received any further communication from Medshield with regards to my claim, and upon calling the call centre to investigate, I was told that it wasnt even yet captured on the system. I realise that depending on work flow, these things can take time, however i cannot accept that you have been sitting with my claim for over a week and it still hasnt been captured.
We are expected to pay premiums timeously to you for your services, and yet when it comes to reimbursing the client, you take your time. Surely, if there was a enough work flow to allow more than a week grace before processing, you should be employing more people to handle the workload?
I would appreciate if this could be escalated and sorted out urgently - I'm not prepared to wait for a month until im reimbursed - that not on. If thats the case, i would rather go elsewhere instead..
