My colleague and I were the musicians at a wedding in December on Asara wine estate outside Stellenbosch.
The bride and groom contacted us and communicated with us about what is needed. The bride informed us only on the Thursday evening of a meeting with the Asara wine estate wedding team the next day. (Friday). She said that, if we weren't able to attend, which we couldn't because we were working, we should just call the manager and tell him what we need in terms of plugs etc. My colleague did call him the next day.
From the first sentence she spoke, he started screaming at her and told her that we will not be allowed on his premises. He kept on screaming and didn't even want to listen to her.
After that, we heard that the bride and groom also had trouble with this man, and that they only spoke to him through their lawyer. No bride and groom should go through something like this before their big day.
I can't believe that a lovely place like Asara is managed in this way. BEWARE OF THE MANAGER. I will not advise people to go near that place.
