Discovery Health
Hospital Claim paid from Savings

In April 2013 my 4 year old daughter required dental surgery. I called Discovery Immediately & received approval for the procedure to be done at a Day Clinic and they provided me with the approval reference Nr.

On the 12th April, I paid the required fee of R700 upfront to the clinic (which cannot be reclaimed) and the procedure was done successfully i.e. extractions and fillings.

At the beginning of May, I received a statement from Discovery stating that they paid for the hospital fees and the anesthetist fees however the Dentists fees of R1231.99 was paid from my savings. Their reason: The statement didn't advise where the procedure was done. They advised me to get the Dentist to update the statement with a specific code, which she did and I resent it again for processing to Discovery. Today being the 21st June - I still have not received any resolution i.e. my savings replenished with the R1231.99.

They are still adament that they need the Dr to specify where the procedure was done. BUT SHE HAS LISTED CODE 24 AS THEY ADVISED???
