I went for surgery on 14 January 2013 to remove my wisdom teeth. I called Discovery beforehand to let them know and they told me that if I went to a day clinic I would have to pay R2400 upfront and then the rest of the bill would be covered by the medical aid. They said that they would pay it from my hospital cover. Last week I found out that they had paid the surgeon from my medical savings. I called Discovery on 28 February 2013 and they opened a query for me and said that they would give me feedback in 2-3 days. I still have not received feedback. I took my baby to the doctor last week and it turns out that there was not enough money in my savings to pay the doctor. I would like this sorted out. I was told the procedure would be paid for from my hospital cover. If this is not sorted out today I will report them to the regulator.
