We just received a phone call from someone by the name of Lesley telling us that our medical aid account is in arrears, and threatening us with ITC.
Firstly, the main member terminated his employment with his company, and as a result the medical aid was terminated.
Then his current employer tried NUMEROUS times to reinstate membership when he started his new job, but due to very slow and frustrating processes and incompetence at medshield, we sat without medical aid for the month of April, even though his current employers sent all required documentation. His deductions only started in May.
I enquired numerous times why our membership was terminated in April (Ref number: 020 513 QX 883J). Thus I fail to understand why we are in arrears for the month of April when we did not even HAVE medical cover.
Medshield seriously needs to get their house in order!!!
