Grab the cash, don't eep the client informed

I have been a client with Discovery for 3 years and have accumulated Discovery Vitality points from gymi'ng many times a week - I only found out about these points in the last two weeks.

Trying to buy a book on [URL Removed] with the thousands of points I didn't know I had, I struggled to pay with my Discovery Miles and now establish that the two are not the same. You have to have a Discovery credit card to spend those.

After 3 years, you would think I would be informed about all the benefits available to me. I didn't know about the discovery card or the miles or the points until I stumbled onto this myself.

So if you deal with Discovery, don't assume what you're entitled to is fully explained to you. Marketing dept is not smart enough to know that keeping a customer happy is way less costly then finding a new customer.

I guess they like to use the point concept to make a sale but then not keep you in the loop to actually spend your points cos that costs them money. Nice one Discovery - I have some 5, 062 facebook friends and a few twittering ones to. So, should I help Discovery incur marketing expenses to rebuild that image they have just tarnished by telling them my story?
