Intercare
Incorrect medication prescribed

I am disgusted at the service of our Doctors today; my wife went to see the doctor at Intercare in Parow Centre on 24/05/2013 for the flu as she was complaining of a tight chest, coughing and a runny nose. The Dr examined her and then prescribed medication. This was in the form of voltarin injection antibiotics, anti-inflammatory, nasal spray and a sinus tablet. After using it for twice I had to rush my wife to hospital due to pain and burning in her tummy on 25/05/2013. I consulted the Dr at the hospital and he informed me that medication provided was way to strong and that the illness just got worst. The anti-biotic was never supposed to be given to her as well as the anti inflamitory as this had eaten away her stomach lining. I had to then get more medication to counter act the effects of all the incorrect meds given to her. On 26/06/2013 I had to take to another Dr as the pain and burning did not go away and was informed by this Dr as well the medication provided was way too strong. This visit also cost me more money. In all I am highly upset with the lack of knowledge the Dr at Intercare showed as this caused my wife excruciating pain because of negligence.
