I moved from one type of Discovery medical aid to another and never gave authorisation to cancel my Vitality membership (which I have had for more than five years). Lo and behold, at the beginning of the month I find out (for myself, no notification from Discovery) that my Vitality membership has been terminated, my Gold status lost, my points vanished, and my odds of becoming Diamond (this year) gone! Furthermore, I am no longer earning cashbacks or rewards as I should.
Vitality has done a manual points adjustment but they have not moved my Vitality history across so I have no knowledge of which reviews and checks I've done already. Further, my lifestyle benefits are no longer active.
I know how databases work, and it isn't this complicated - just migrate the fields to the new account. Simple.
Why is it so complicated? This is the second time in my more than five year relationship with Discovery that this has happened but it's dragging on and shameful.
