On 07 May my wife hurt her neck getting out of bed.
- She went to physio. Physio was concerned about amount of pain and lack of movement and sent my wife for Xrays. She could not see for sure if there was damage so wanted my wife to see Neurosurgeon but could only get appointment for 09 May so she suggested we go to Wilgeheuwel casualty to get referral to Neurosurgeon on call.
- We did so and saw Dr. He gave my wife voltarin injection and 2 doses of pain killers which did not help at all. He said this was strange but was adament it was muscle spasm which physio must work out and would not refer us
- Physio was still concerned so we saw Dr. He sent my wife for MRI to see if there was bone or ligament damage since bone was dislocated in neck, not a muscle spasm. Without being sure there was no damage, bone must not be moved.
- Luckily no damage but gone to 4 Chiro visits to try get bone back in. Taking long because badly dislocated and swelling was bad due to all the delay
So I want my money back due to incorrect diagnosis and refusing to refer. My complaint was escalated to departments but no response
