2 years ago i made a purchase at specsavers which depleted all my savings. I was contacted around 2 months later by discovery informing me that they incorrectly double deducted from my account and owed me an amount of -R1600. They deposited the funds into my account and 2 weeks later i called them back to inquire if they're sure this money belonged to me, again i was told it was. A few days later i used the money that apparently "rightfully" was mine. 2 years later i receive a billing saying i now owe the money back to them as it was incorrectly put into my account. After about 5 phone calls and speaking to people who cannot help me i asked to be contacted by someone higher. Amlen Naicker mailed me saying i just need to pay the money back as i used it, after repeatedly telling her what happend she failed to respond and has still not called me. I refuse to pay for a mistake made by discovery. If they were at all competant this never would have happend. This is not my mistake, i did my duty to call twice and find it if this funds belonged to me so i dont understand why i must pay for their stupid mistakes.
