We are on the Beat 2 option. I have applied for 2 absolutely different pre-hospital authorisations, for my 3 year old daughter and my husband, both were rejected by BestMed with lame excuses! These cases involve health problems which, in the opinion of our doctors, required urgent attention, and not just for the sake of it! I don't think it's worth it to stay with BestMed any longer. They promise everything that we were looking for in their brochure, but in in reality they merely refuse. Our doctors involved are absolutely shocked by BestMed's behaviour.
In one of the 2 cases, BestMed initially sent their approval & authorisation number to the hospital, and only after we have queried it, they said "they pushed the wrong button by accident and our claim is definitely rejected, we can therefore just ignore the first letter sent by them". They did not even apologise! This is definitely unacceptable and unprofessional.
