My mum had a hip operation on the 25th April 2013 and the physio therapist did not do any leg excercises to stregthen her muscles. After a week of so called physio she is still unable to stand on her own let alone move a step forward. But everymorning she is helped out of bed (which is an effort as per the physio therapist because they doing all the work) and is forced to stand on weak muscles which she can't do and is then put back into bed. For every visit she is charged between an amount of R395.35 and R503.15 for absolutely nothing. The account so far has come to R3791-72. This is so sad that this is being allowed and especially our senior citizens who are being targeted with this bad service and their medical aid contributions are extremely high due to these extravagant charges and not getting their monies worth. I have subsequently taken another therapist to assess my mum and she was disgusted with what she has seen.
