We have just returned from a 10-day Lowveld break - spoilt only by our visit to Nkambeni. We saw an advert in a Sunday paper, and it looked great. From the price tag we surmised that it was a semi-luxury tented camp, not unlike the Kruger itself. Mistake #1! They claimed it was In the Park. (They didn't say it was BEFORE the actual Gate and right next to the railway line.) Reception was not indicated, but we found it at "Goods Delivery". Reception was quite friendly, but parking in the vicinity of our allocated unit was not possible. I suffer from a lung condition, so my wife had to carry the required luggage to our unit. (They could not provide a more appropriately situated unit, because "the aircons didn't work". Our unit's aircon didn't work anyway!) Then came dinner, for which we had prepaid when we booked. No, came the answer, we had to pay for it. We followed this up the following morning BEFORE breakfast and had our laptop PC at hand, to show them our booking. (What if we did not have the PC?) They then found that through misfiling they had us confused with another booking. Ironically, we were supposed to be in a tent much closer to the Parking area. Tents/furniture poor!
