Poor customer service

I was a member of discovery since June 2008, i lost my job last year and I contacted discovery telephonically in October to have my membership moved to my own personal capacity and I also requested a downgrade to keycare. I sent through all requested document, and it took them over 3 months to get back to me, and once they did, I was told that I was responsible to pay the full premiums for the 3 months that I did not have cover for in order for me to continue with my membership. I refused to pay for the 3 months that I wasn't covered for, then I called their call centre again and I spoke to a guy named faizel to get an update on the status of my medical aid, faizel put me on hold and he said he was look into the matter and would get back to me, the line was then disconnected and I haven't heard from them since. last week I received a call from virgin active saying that they had now cancelled my vitality membership with them, so now I don't have a medical aid and I have to pay extra for my gym membership. this is really unfair and I'm extremely disappointed with the company. I was a member foe 4years and now don't care at all.
