NO SPARE PARTS

We have had our rather expensive AEG Virtuoso Fridge for about 8 years and it has been fantastic... until a month and a half ago when the fridge started losing its coolness, but the freezer kept working. The Agency in Cape Town referred me to their outsourced service guy, since the appliance was now out of warranty.
He was quite efficient and came to look within a day or two. He informed me that the PC board was "gone/dead/finished" and it would require a new one. He said he would order it from AEG and be back within a few days to replace it at a cost of about R2500. Okay, I could live with that.
Now, nearly one and a half months later we are still waiting for the part - CT ordered from JHB, who didn't have stock so ordered it from Australia (this is what the CT service guy is telling me).
Anyway, with 3 kids in the house we need a full fridge, which has not been possible - have had to throw out wasted food and need to shop everyday to buy fresh food.
I'm giving up waiting and going out to buy a new fridge - not another AEG - in fact, I'll never go for AEG again with such poor after sales, out of warranty service. BE WARNED - AEG SERVICE . Go for Defy-their service is great
