I am utterly Disgusted with SONY

I purchased a Sony camcorder (with a built in hard drive) in april 2011 when i was on Holiday in Cape town - Game Canal walk and was told there was a 2 yr gaurantee, we hardly ever used it literaly about 4-5 times for short periods of time. we did not back up these as we didnt expect a problem considering i pd R4000. it has a very large memory on the Hard drive . all of them very memorable events in our lives, holidays and most important my baby's 3rd birthday party, something that i could never get back.

we tried to record her first day of school this year when we got an error message HDD error format . then in feb we went on holiday to Mauritius and could not make use of it, whats the point of paying so much for a Brand thats suppose to be Reliable.

now Game gets back to me as i took it in for repairs only to say that they sent it to Sony and it would cost R2090 to replace the Hard drive and if they do the memory would be erased and cannot b retrieved,

so after spending R4000 for something i hardly used i have to now pay a further R2090.

i am utterly Disgusted with SONY, even if i have to fix this what gaurantee do i have that this will not happen to me again
