Think twice before doing business with Digi Cafe

I bought a lithium ion Sony battery from Digi Cafe in Cape Gate Mall. Before I paid for it I asked whether it was an original Sony or a fake. I was assured by the Chinese owner's wife that it is a genuine Sony battery. I tested it before I went on my overseas holiday to make sure I wasn't to. I used it along with my 3-year old genuine Sony battery as well as my 3-year old generic Hahnel battery in my Sony camera. From the first use I could tell that it was a complete fake. The older Sony battery had a much longer life span, and even the generic Hahnel had a considerably longer life span than the brand new "genuine" Sony battery bought from Digi Cafe. I went back to Digi Cafe before I left for the holiday. The Chinese owner had a bad attitude and refused to refund me and said that I must test it some more. I had no other option but to keep the battery and use it during my holiday. During my holiday both of my 3-year old batteries lasted much longer than the Digi Cafe battery with each use tested over a 6-week holiday period. Off course Digi Cafe still does not want to refund and still maintain that it is a genuine Sony. Customers beware!
