"No Refund policy" even for faulty goods
I bought a portable DVD player from Digi Cafe. The one they tested in store was already faulty so they tested a new one, which worked.. but only worked fine for a week then started giving problems. I explained to them that the issues occur randomly. They tested it for 30 minutes with a 20 minute break in-between and claimed there is nothing wrong and that I'm using it wrong. I insisted that the device is faulty and after an hour of arguing they gave me a new one (according to them) and "tested" it. Got home, and this one doesn't even load the DVD... Phoned them in the morning and they blatantly told me that they will not refund me, and that they will test it again and repair it... they gave me a broken "replacement" to start off with, but now I must be happy with a repaired product. Their "No Refund" policy is against the Consumer Protection Act, but he says I must speak to his lawyer if I want a refund. There is no sense of loyalty to the client and they told me straight that they need to make a profit - regardless of the inconvenience I'm experiencing as a result of their poor quality products. I would not advise anyone to buy anything from them. And their attitude is even worse!
