I Care Plus - Bad Service

My Ipad 3 screen (purchased 29/06/2012) was recently cracked and i popped into the I store in Clearwater Mall, where i had purchased the product, to find out what i could do about it. I was told that, depending on when i purchased the item (with I Care Plus - which i did) i could replace the Ipad3 at a cost of R500 or alternatively have the screen repaired. I duly check my invoice and found that the 2x replacement offer only kicked in in August 2012. I went into the store spoke to a different indvidual (unfortunately i didn't get their names) who advise me that I did not qualify for the replacement scheme. Fair enough. But i was then told that they could not refer me to anyone to replace the screen. I was told that i could log in the item and Apple would most likely quote me a price for new one. I kid you not. What would be the point. I should just buy a new. The manager on the other hand was literally 2 meters from me but did not have the decency to address me. Talk about being penalised for buying an item early. If anybody knows how i can go about replacing the screen, i would be grateful for the information.
