After waiting for over aver 20min and above at burmeisters Beacon bay to be attended just to buy a domestic trimmer to serve the purpose of cutting my grass, within my first day of use after following all instructions it had a bad smoke coming out and overheated, I waited for it to cool down n started again, it did the same thing, I called them and enquired about the matter only to be answered by a rude lady by the name Lee-Ann telling me i will have to bring the machine in and all the process, when i asked if i could bring it in and pay extra for a more powerful machine like an exchange of some sort but she still refused, I used to work in retail for over 7years, we sold brands from outside suppliers and had our very own brands but we still exchanged and did refund if we had to if it was within that 7days and dealt with the outside suppliers coz we knew customers wouldn't understand, and if we couldn't do anything to assist but to send their items back to the suppliers we took time and politely explained to them the terms and Conditions stated on the warranty coz some of the customers and myself included do not bother going into the fine print as we are often tired and would rather have them explained to us vocally, but miss Lee-Ann couldn't even explain about why they don't have a guarantee when I asked her about the guarantee as it was still my third day and still within the 7days guarantee she just spoke to me any how not explaining anything nicely until I drop the phone on her ear, firstly I don't work at burmeisters and never did, the least someone with a better understanding of how they run things is to be polite and explain to me with respect as I had spent my hard earned money R2500 on that shity lawn star machine, I am very mad with how she spoke to me as if I had played a gamble with my money... I hope she gets a raise for being rude and their policy and service sucks, if you ever see me at burmeisters again in this life time... day light robbery.
