I went in to the iStore in Cavendish Square this morning to buy an iPad Mini retina 32 gb WiFi only. I was informed that there was one in stock in and when they went to fetch it it was no longer there. This I can understand. It is was happened next that was so shocking. I asked the shop assistant if she could please order one for me, only to be told no they cant and that I must just come back again and see if there is one in stock. I asked for the manager who was just as apathetic and unhelpful as the shop assistant. But worse, after asking if they could order one for me she said "No, we don't do that" followed by "You could always leave your details with us and we may call you later in the week". No product, no service, no competence and no willingness to help. Steve Jobs must be turning in his grave! For a flagship store in one of Cape Town's premier shopping centers this is absolutely unacceptable.
