I bought a brand new Samsung fridge in JUL2013, 2 Months later I got home to find the freezer compartment near on boiling. I called Samsung to come and sort out the fridge and I also enquired about all the food that had spoiled, only to be told that if they dispatch a techie within 48hours no compensation is paid out "as food cannot spoil that fast" - BULL thawed food cannot be refrozen) - so I had reported the problem on TUE at around 13:00, so Samsung cleverly dispatches the Techie for 11:00 on Thursday... Lucky for me the techie arrived very late at 16:35 (So thanks Samsung according to your rules I now qualify for my compensation - HAHA) now they ask me to put a list together along with proof of the spoilt goods, I do this and the total is approx R900.00 worth of damages... Samsung offers R500.00 (Nice take half the blame for you up) - anyways I fought this and finally they agreed on the full amount. However they said I could not get it in SEP anymore as that transfer date had passed and that it would come end OCT... alas now in NOV and still nothing, Mary and Her Team leader don't stick to promises of due dates, of returning calls, of getting a supervisor involved..
