Promise not kept

I enquired about the price of an Ipad with retina display and was quoted the price. i asked the sales person to give me a free cover with it if i purchased the ipad from her. she agreed. the ipad was for my company and now that i am ready to purchase the ipad, i am told by the manager that the sales person is not authorised to offer any free items othat than wata is on special offer. i will now not buy an ipad but another make device.
