I've never been an apple fan, but it seems Samsung SA is intent on providing me a cure! It has been over 6 months since the Jellybean update for the Galaxy Note 1 has officially rolled out to international customers. I again contacted Samsung and received an automated reply stating that the Note doesn't have a Jellybean update! I responded listing at least three websites reporting the opposite, to which they again replied stating that the ROM had not yet been released to the SA market! My question would thus be WHEN they intend releasing THEIR own official update to this product? Surely it can't be stuck in customs! Handsets of this caliber have a 2-year product-technology life, and cost around R7000 new! Samsung are fully aware of this as they churn out a new model every few months! How on earth are they then incapable of merely rolling out an AN ALREADY EXISTING update over a period of more than six months? Even though they are worth commending for their prompt responses to e-mail queries, if you're in the business of providing expensive premium hardware, it's maybe a good idea to ensure premium support to accompany that hardware!
