I purchased a "top of the range" R650 AEG kettle and within weeks it malfunctioned, not turning off after it had completed boiling at any temperature. I returned it to the store and got another one - on returning home it does not boil to full temperature and therefore does not turn off if you don't set a lower boiling temperature on the control panel. I tried the whole morning this morning to get some assistance from Electrolux for this product but have been going around in circles and eventually got a back to a lady at reception who told me just to return it to the store I purchased it from for exchange. THIS SERVICE STINKS!!! This is not the service I expect from a brand like AEG that we pay a premium for!!! I have lost all faith in AEG, a brand that I thought was a leader in their field. I will be returning the kettle to the store I purchased it from - but not for an exchange, I will be purchasing another brand that does not fall under the AEG / Electrolux / Kelvinator banner...
