November last year I purchased a washer/dryer combination. After the third wash the drying function stopped working. I contacted the company that Samsung uses to outsource their repairs and scheduled a repair. The repairman did not remember to bring the correct part but "reset" the switch that had tripped. The first time the machine was used the same problem occurred. I contacted the company, and after three weeks a second repairman was sent. The first time the machine was used the same issue occurred. The same repairman arrived two weeks later. The first time the machine was used, the same issue occurred. To date, this machine had cost me around 6 hours away from work and R2500 in dry cleaning.
It is now 8 months later. I have the same machine with the same problem. I have dealt with the company that sold me the machine and its employees has given up trying to deal with Samsung. I have dealt with Samsung and have to date dealt with 8 different employees. I cannot get through to its managers, I cannot get through to anyone that is willing to take any responsibility.
This is a poor brand with unbelievably poor backup. One must be INSANE to buy a Samsung product in South Africa.
