I'm rather upset about my latest Fisher-Price purchase, at Dischem, Tokai
I purchased the baby monitor, only to find the following upon returning home:
1) The plugs on the adapters are not compatible with standard South African wall sockets
2) The voltage of the adapter is a mere 120V while the standard South African wall sockets
have a voltage of 220V
3) The 'main' unit cannot take batteries, so basically this unit is completely unusable.
I made a special trip to Dischem, Tokai, Western Cape especially for this purchase, and nowhere
on the packaging does it specify the type of adapters nor their voltage.
How can a product not compatible with standard South African equipment be sold in our
shops?
This is a safety and fire hazard should a less informed person plug the unit in... the main unit
going in the BABY ROOM!!!
