I have been trying now since last year to study a BSC in computing through UNISA but was told that I need to do N4 Math's and N4 English at an FET collage before i can register, this is after I was told that matric should not count after the age of 25 as long as you have a metric certificate. I went to the FET Collages of South Africa to do the 2 N4 subjects to qualify to even apply to Study at UNISA, and was told to go to South West Gauteng Collage to do the subjects. So off I go to register for these subjects BUT, FET only do N3 English, so now I need to do N3 Math's but this is not accepted anymore by UNISA, how am I supposed to get exemption for subject I'm unable to do even if I want to? I spoke to the Department of education and they said N3 should be sufficient for me to qualify, as it is Matric. and FET says the same thing, But according to UNISA they don't accept N3 anymore!!! How is this possible?? so UNISA do not accept matriculates at all any more?? It would be awesome if someone from UNISA can contact me to fix this Mess up that not even the FET collages Know about!!! this is VERY Wrong. SWGC told me to speak to multiple people at UNISA because this is not right.
