On 29 June this year, I registered online for 3 modules (HMA3703, PYC3701 and PYC3702) and paid a R2000 deposit.
After my registration was confirmed I discovered that my exam time table showed a clash in some modules. I therefore decided on 1 July to cancel two modules HMA3703 and PYC3701 (I didn't know I could defer them to the next semester) and registered two more that would not clash - PYC3702 and PYC3706. I paid up another R1030 on July 1.
What I don't understand is how possible it is that I pay R3030 for 3 modules that each cost R1200, and still have a balance of R3110. I understand I may have forfeited half amount for the two modules I cancelled, but I need some explanations on how it all sums up to me owing R3110.
I have written to the finance department, to get an explanation on how I owe this amount since July but got no reply. Even worse, I went to the regional office here in Mthatha and asked to see the supervisor but she told one of their staff members to tell me that I was not supposed to use the internet to cancel my modules. According to her, I should have written a letter through the regional office. She refused to speak to me saying she was busy.
