Unisa staff's incompetence is costing me money

I went to the Unisa office in Richards Bay on the 16-01-2013 to move three of my modules to the second semester. I wanted to make this move because I had six subjects registered for semester 1 and none for semester 2. The reason I had the subjects registered in this impractical manner was because of a Unisa document that stated incorrectly that five of my modules were year modules.

The lady at enquiries told me that a move like this was not possible at all. After I told her that it has to be possible she went to ask her supervisor who sent her with form DSAR02. Before filling out the form I asked her if I would have to pay any penalties for this move and she told me that I would not have to. I also asked her if it was possible to move the three modules to the second semester as apposed to cancelling them and then reregistering them in the second semester. She told me that it was not possible. Before signing the form, I again confirmed that there was no penalties.

It turns out that the move cost me almost R1300 extra. The staff were unwilling to correct the error. I later learned that a semester exchange is possible online, free of charge. Please sort this out.
