I had applied for credits at the Durban branch by submitting my syllabus and exemption form in September 2012, I was informed that the process usually takes 6-8 weeks, hence I would know what credits i would receive before applying for the next semester. In December 2012 i received a phone call informing me that all the documentation I had provided them with had been lost, and bear in mind all the documents were in original. I was then asked to resubmit my credit application form which I did immediately. I don't see why I should suffer for their incompetence, my documentation should have been kept safely, now registering for this semester becomes really difficult as I don't know what credits I will be receiving, had UNISA not lost my documentation, I would have been informed of what credits I would have received by now. This sets me back a great deal and could delay the completion of my degree.
