UJ Security issues have still not been addressed

I am not currently a student at UJ, but someone close to me (who does not want to lay a complaint) is.

She has reported to me that security has still not been stepped up after the kidnapping incident at the Kingsway Campus.

Why are ID's not being checked upon exit and why are vehicle boots not being checked either?
