My pool was fitted and supplied by Leisure Pools in 2004. In the last 8 years I have contacted Leisure Pools on four separate occasions to repair defects in the blue gel coating of the shell. Each occasion the supplier of the shell was send to repair the defects. The defects keep recurring. The last occasion not all the defects were repaired as the " factory technician" mentioned that the pool would not leak and that the best solution would be to pump out all the water, grind down the surface and re gel? (I am not sure of the exact procedure that he was going to follow, but it did not involve merely topically painting the defect spots). Earlier this year 7/02/2013 I again contacted Leisure Pools to advise them of the recurring defects. Today I followed up with Monique as I had had no response. I was advised that the repairs done each time to the pool had a guarantee of 6 months and that my supplied defect shell would not be repaired again. My shell holds a 10 year warranty against any defect due to faulty manufacture or defective materials. Monique mentioned that the factory was in legal battle re materials supplied to them. I only want my pool to be free from defects.
