After 3 years after having the solar geyser installed we noticed that the hot water had started to come out off white/light brown. We called Solar Beam to be told that it was likely that the liner was leaking into the water as they had had quite a few reports of geysers like this where the epoxy lining was not given time to set during production. They came around to replace the geyser as it was under guarantee. The technician advised that our original geyser was from a bad batch. Why did they not recall the geysers from the "bad batch"? I was told by their office that there were too many geysers with this problem to recall them all! The person responsible for the production problem was no longer with the company. How nice to be bathing & washing dishes in a coating of epoxy! This from a company that has the SABS stamp of approval! I await their response to my grievance.
