We employed the services of AK Van Der Schyff Building Contractors cc to lay a screeding floor at a house we are being paid to renovate. My business is also a small Handy Man concern, and I take pride in my work! The floor completely failed and has lifted - Kader, who I paid in full right away, has not returned my calls, after promising repeatedly to fix is mess-up! I have not yet been paid for the rest of the job and I am currently R27000 out of pocket!!! This entire job has to be re-done now in order for me to be paid, which means I now have to foot the R4000 it will cost to fix the floor - this significantly reduces my profit margin on this job, to the point that I have wasted 3 weeks of working.
