In April of this year I bought 102 wall mounted lights from Light Spot who is a supplier of Bright Star lights. A 50% deposit was required before delivery, which we paid happily. After waiting for what seemed forever, we finally got our lights. All was fine, then one day one of the lights are not working. It was quite a surprise since the LED globes are supposed to work basically forever. I contacted Bright Star and for 4-5 weeks we sent back 6-10 lights a week for them to be replaced/fixed. At this point we had a look ourselves with what the problem could be and noticed that the transformer within the light is not strong enough, they sent us bigger transformers that we had to replace ourselves. Turns out that the new ones are too strong and is now causing the LED globes to blow. After months and months of going back and forth, client complaints from our clients - still no answer on what exactly can be done. NO SOLUTION!!! Almost R40 000.00 spent and just a headache to show for it. For a company this big, it is absurd that their own employees do not even know what is going on. Bright Star should take responsibility and not blame China!
