Volkswagen
New Golf 7 GTi a Dange

After many attempts to resolve my problem I have now lost faith in VW SA and its products. A few weeks back my golf 7 gti bright lights failed while using high beam assist, I could not override the system and almost crashed when my bright lights went out. VW Umhlanga tried to find the problem on there VAS machine but failed. They kept the car for about 2 weeks and later got there factory rep /technician in to find the fault he failed as well. The VW tech suggested I drive the car again till it fails and bring it back or they will come and fetch the car from me. The next time the system fails the occupants in my car or the cars on the road could be in danger. I am now expected to use the car and hope my lights don't fail. VW umhlanga suggested I take the car for a AA test which they would pay for, this is a waste of time as the AA will not have the equipment to test the my car or find an intermittent fault. An AA test is just to cover the dealership in case I lose my life or kill other people in this car. I never herd of a dealership requesting the AA to fix there cars before is this common practice in VW? In SA if your bright lights are faulty your car is not supposed to be allowed onthe road
