Had an appointment at 10:30 for the installation of a fireplace. Called to confirm. Said he would be there. On this basis left work & went home. Waited half an hour. No.1. Johan said he would email me a quote by Fri. Quote only arrived the following Tue. No.2. Said that the quote would be approx. R10K. Quote was close to R15K. No.3. Asked for a 50% deposit. Made a written agreement that I would pay in full provided the fireplace was in by Fri as I am recovering from pneumonia. Arrived on Thu to install. Couldn't complete as my domestic worker leaves at 15:00. No one informed me what was going on. No.4. I had to follow-up. Promised 'I'll call u back'. No call back. No.5. I called again on Fri to confirm that the installation would be completed on Fri. Sure. No one arrived. No.6. No one informed me what was going on. No.7. I had to follow-up. Promised 'I'll call u back'. No call back. No.8. Someone arrived unannounced on the Sat as I was going out for the day. No.9. No one arrived this morning to complete. No.10. I had to follow-up. Have been promised that it will be complete tomorrow. Which I know will be No.11. Just Gas is in breach of an agreement. And just don't care less.
