A client of mine rents a flat in Pretoria. The power was cut on Wednesday 05/06/2013. After numerous calls to the company and Municipality we found out the monies owed to Tshwane was never paid over. Electrovent subsequently sent us a proof of payment dated the 06/06/2013 - a day after the power was cut! Apparently the funds were incorrectly allocated. The contractor was at the unit but did not fix the power and needless to say that even though they say they have an emergency nr it does not get answered and the reception staff is not willing to give any alternative nr. I was informed that the emergency nr only gets answered between 6 and 8 at night and between 11 and 1 on Saturdays - which I can assure you is not the case. The office has just closed and after contacting the Technician again asking when this problem will be solved he actually put the phone down in my ear. So my guess is no power in the middle of winter for a whole weekend!!! this is ridiculous! Still also do not see why I have to be person phoning Tshwane to confirm a payment that they made late and even have to pay the obvious penalties that will follow!!!
