My Cottage is situated on the South Coast (Lot 794) I had a leak in my Thatch Roof and was advised by Jess Rogers that it would be better to replace the Roof with Zinc. Which I agreed to and paid. Not long after the job was completed heavy rain fall happened and the Water was just coming into the property due to poor workmanship and his Company was called many times for assistance. In December 2012 I received a call from my Rental agent as the damage was getting already so bad and just no response from Jess. When I got hold of him just before the December holidays he advised that he will fix no problem, however 1st week of Jan still nothing was done. After he kept not responding to my mails / calls I first tried the Durban H/Office for assistance (No luck) so I called the KZN Building association who assisted. After 4/5 month we finally got at least the Roof sealed off. He advised me over the phone that he would fix all the damages to the inside of the house, it was just something he would say to get me off his back. After spending add R 18 000.00 to get the damages fixed he still has not finished all the work. Now its June and I still have issues. What a disappointment.
