My Dell computer comes standard with the Intel ProSet (R) Wireless application for connectivity. Since I've had my computer I have NOT been able to use hotspots to connect to the internet. And today I am unable to wirelessly connect to my Belkin router!!!
I have tried to contact Intel on three different numbers (011) 804-3920, (011) 656-4459 and (011) 806-4530. None of these numbers are available on their website?! None of these numbers are operational - maybe the Telkom copperlines were... Emailing a support technician is not sufficient.
Dell was unable to assist with my query and offered my 3 options... 1) R699 for a once off repair solution; 2) R1499 for a 3 time call solution & 3) Buy a new computer! (you've got to love it!)
Belkin's international call centre was adament that the problem was a computer related issue and that I should be speaking to Dell. My reference number there 130220003853. The agent did not even attempt to activate a connection!
