Printer network fault and same day return not allowed

I bought a printer at IC at Somerset West with one request - to print from the phone. We are a winefarm and all our Internet is set up by PC Services which I called after the purchase to set up the printer. My IT guy tried for an hour with no luck and he confirmed in writing that the network is faulty as he could not connect to IOS, nor Android nor Macbook. Please note the printer prints (! ) but it does not connect to another devise. I went back the same day for a refund and the guys told me they will check themselves. The next morning they told me that the printer prints on their side and I need to come and fetch the printer which I refused as it isnt helping me if it works in the shop and not on the farm. The store manager had the best excuse to my problem: he asked me if I have put in the ink ( which he obviously knew we did - how else would one test a printer!!! ) and when I said * yes * he said, that I have * used* the printer and can not return to the shops. Not very diplomatic and quite rude!
I spent R 2999.00 on a printer that is not working for my purposes. I have difficulties to believe that I one page test print is called * used* when the issue is that the network connection is faulty. I am totally shocked about the way this was handled. The printer is in its original box, original receipt and my IT guys letter was totally ignored like I do this for fun.
According to your own refund policy *Purchases may be returned or exchanged at any Incredible Connection store subject to submission of the original receipt, and that the merchandise is in its original packaging and condition. In line with the CPA a handling fee of up to 15% of the value of the product may be charged when the product/packaging is not returned in its original purchase condition* - Furthermore CPA are arguing that a product that you can not test in the shop, you can test at home, and you can return without reason within 7 days - Section 44 of ECT Act.

Please note I am trying to meet you somewhere and If you ask for a handling fee and/or get a credit for the purchase amount, so be it but I really have no use for this printer as it does not connect to our devices. Our IT guy has tried everything.
