I have been using a prepaid Vodacom number since November 2000. In June this year (2019) I lost my cellphone. When i wanted to do a sim swap so that i can continue to use my old number, I was shocked when i was told that my number is a contract number from Retail Mobile Credit Solution. I asked if who signed for that contract at Vodacom they told me that i must go to Edgars since i have an account with them. When i got to Edgars i was told only RMCS can help me. I was pushed from corner to coner by RMCS staff for full two weeks to sort my problem. I was eventually told that my card is sponsored by someone i dont even know. I was also told that i can't change that. I ask RMCS to cancel that contract. They told me it will take 48 working hours to cancel. I bought another Vodacom sim card. I was suprised today to find out that i owe R1906577.44 amount in my accoun. This is my prepaid account. I don't understand what is really happening.
