I bought a Lenovo G575 August 2011. After having the laptop for 6 months I ended up taking the laptop back to Hi Fi Corporation East London where I purchased the laptop. The screen had a comment in the bottom right hand corner saying THIS VERSION OF WINDOWS IS INVALID. However Hi Fi corp repaired it for me. 2 years after purchasing one day my hard drive just gave up. I again took it in and the Branch Manager Craig Venter tried to phone Lenovo to repair the laptop seeing it was out of guarantee by two months. They refused point blank so repair because it was out of guarantee, which i understood, but after the manger explained to them that mine was not the only G575 model hard drive that has packed up, after research he had done as well as what i informed him for the research i had done as well.
Lenovo started putting blame on me saying I broke the screen and that i had dropped it, but Craig advised them that the laptop still looked new, BUT TO NO AVAIL.
TO EVERYONE OUT THERE TRYING TO BY A LENOVO PRODUCT I SUGGEST YOU THINK TWICE BECAUSE THEY ARE THE WORSE COMPANY I HAVE COME ACROSS FOR AFTER SERVICE.
IT TOOK CRAIG AT HI FI CORP TO FIX IT AT THEIR OWN COST.
