I went to esquire on Saturday 26-10-2013 to mainly purchase an "AC Ryan Playon Mini HD3" which was on special for R1199.00, I went through the aisles till I got to the players, I pick up the AC Ryan HD3, and got to the till, the lady said: R1599, I'm like oooo... no it is on special, After we saw that the barcodes differ from the special I saw that I need to fetch the Mini HD3 and not just the HD3.
I went to the aisle, put back the HD3, and searched for the Mini HD3, I saw on the price tag beneath the Mini HD3 a price of R999.00 - I took the price out of the holder together with the Mini HD3 which was an ad as a deal for R1199.00, The lady scanned the item, she said R1199.00 - I'm like no, Put the price tag on top of the item, I said here is the price for R999.00, and I would like to pay R999.00 now please.
The lady behind the counter called another lady, after 15minutes the other lady got there, They talked in another language, and the other lady told me that the R1199 is the special price and the R999 is the original price. I ask her, who in this crazy world adds R200 rand onto a product, calls it a Special price as well as advertises it as a "Special"? They said no! No sale!
