The new book of Wilbur Smith - Vicious Circle - was aggressively advertised in all stores (on pamplets and placards against windows) as launching today, 4 October with "special launch price "!!! I went to my local CNA store yesterday and found that the book was already available, priced at R299-90. The lady advised me to return today, after I asked her about the "special launch price" in case the special price was only valid from today. I went back after two. Found that the price was still R299-90!!! I firstly don't know in which universe you guys think R300 is a special price and secondly, what special launch price??? R300 is not a special price!!! That is considered false advertising under the Commercial Law Act. You created the assumption of a special price, which R300 definately isn't!!!
